The creative couple behind the blog is Paul and Cathy, a husband and wife team. Married for over 25 years, we have spent our entire adult lives following our creative instincts both at work and at play. We purchased our 100 + year old home during the 80′s when the decorating catchword of the day was restoration. Our home had been remuddled and patched together by previous owners having first been a summer home for a wealthy family, then a boarding house in the 20′s and 30′s, apartments in the 60′s and 70′s, a dormitory home for brothers from the local Catholic church and finally a family home for the Seymours. In restoring and renovating our remuddled home, we learned many creative skills to achieve the champagne look we wanted on a beer budget. We taught ourselves to plaster, strip floors, sew curtains, make stained and leaded glass and our latest passion, handpainted florals on anything that doesn’t move. Join us as we discuss our home and our creative pursuits.
