Mood Board for Cozy Bedroom Redo
Our beautiful oldest daughter has recently joined the adult working world. She does a lovely job working in a busy veternarian’s hospital where she works long hours and comes home very tired. She is a true animal lover and has a huge heart for pets, particularly dogs. Sometimes I think she was a dog in another life!! After living away for several years while attending college, we are loving having her home with us again. Of course, we know we are on borrowed time as our lovely adult butterfly will surely fly the coop someday, but for now, we are enjoying getting reacquainted with her.
To help our daughter fully engage in her adult life, we are going to work with her on a bedroom redo. Currently, her bedroom is wallpapered with tulips on a white background and a soft buttery yellow woodwork and ceiling. She wants to change the color scheme to light purple, black, white and grey with silver and mirrored accents – definitely a more mature look to match her more responsible lifestyle!
We’re going to start her room redo soon and to help us pull it all together, we created this mood board. We will be looking to use these products or items similar to the ones pictured.
In the end, it will be great fun to compare the finished room to our mood board to see how well it all pulls together. We hope you’ll join us as we take this bedroom redo journey.
Thanks for visiting.

Do you mind giving a source for that bedding?
Cathy
Believe it or not, the bedding is from Walmart. It’s called Classic Noir Bedding and it’s reversible. Thanks for asking.

Cathy, My granddaughter, Karingtin, just got finished with her bedroom at her Mom’s house. Walls are 5 different bright colors, (including lilac). The carpeting is white. She painted all the furniture black and it looks fantastic. What you picked will be so upscale. I did notice the black dresser. Go for it…nadine

It looks like it is going to be beautiful, Cathy. I hope it turns out just like you picture it- xo Diana

I bet it will be great when you are finished. I love everything on your board. Enjoy your daughter while she is with you, but when she leaves this will be a beautiful guest room.

Love your board but love even more that you are happy that your daughter is moving back in with you if only for a while after college. How endearing! I have a daughter in college and am so excited when she can come home… but I often hear others complain with their children move in for a while after college. You are a breath of fresh air!

Love her choice of colors. Perfect for a young woman! We are just beginning to finish our basement. I have pics of some of the ideas I want to do. What program did you use to create your mood board? I really should give it a whirl. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
